Fight Club

Ian Cotter-Brown made an ascent of the very rarely repeated Fight Club (v10/11?, on the Saigon Boulder) yesterday, making me realize I have to get out and do that line! It's kinda scary to top out up the slab leftward, but a direct has also been done. Here are a couple of shots of Ian from a couple days before his send, taped up and ready to rumble! Don't let that hippy tie-die fool you!

Fight Club needs cold, ideally cloudy conditions.

No Southerners have ever done this mantel. Probably can't be done by Southerners. But you should def' give it a go!

Went out and did this yesterday. Same method as Ian, I think. Doesn't seem to bad to be honest, though it took a while to find my way to the top of the boulder (way out left). Must go back and try the direct. Still awaiting a Southerner ascent. Where are you Jimmy?

I'm a little unclear on the exits. I may have done the direct...? When I did it. I did the mantle then went no more than a couple feet left and up.
It definitely climbed 'treacherous slopers' but it wasn't immediately over the bulge upon completion of the mantle. Semi-direct? lol.
